The AWC is seeking a Senior Analyst to support our Policy and Diplomacy Team

This position requires an experienced professional who can serve as a critical member of our research team during the commission’s final year and intensive sprint phase toward report completion. The successful candidate will work as a hands-on analytical contributor, combining exceptional research and writing capabilities with deep policy experience to drive substantive analysis and writing, content validation, and strategic outreach. He/she will have exceptional subject matter expertise in the 2001-2021 Afghanistan war, diplomacy as an instrument of U.S. power and influence, and the U.S.-Afghanistan relationship. 

An active TS/SCI security clearance is preferred.

The AWC is seeking an Archivist to support our Interviews and Information Management Team.

This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented mid-level professional to support the Commission’s records management program and the long-term preservation of the Commission’s official records. The Archivist will work closely with AWC staff to ensure quality control of proprietary materials, to assemble records and materials for research use, and to prepare materials for eventual deposit at a designated archival repository.

An active security clearance is preferred.
